Terms of Service
The agreement between you and saakshe. Plain-language summary of how the service works, what credits are, and what the AI's output does and doesn't promise.
Effective date: June 10, 2026 · operated by saakshe, an independent project
Twelve clauses, in plain language.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using saakshe, you agree to these Terms. If you're using saakshe for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept on its behalf. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
saakshe is an agentic operating layer: one witness you talk to, and a four-faculty company — manas (knows), arivu (decides), kalai (makes), kural (engages) — that runs work on a project you connect, pausing at two human gates. saakshe is operated as an independent project and is currently a gated demo: the service is provided on an as-available basis, may change as we develop it, and demo content and balances may be reset.
3. Accounts
You sign in through Supabase authentication, including Google sign-in. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your own API and channel keys secure. One person or organisation per account unless we agree otherwise. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
4. Credits
The service runs on credits, which are a non-cash, internal unit used to meter AI actions. Credits have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for cash, and aren't transferable. The free launch grant is a courtesy that may change or end at any time. Paid credit packs, when offered, are consumable and non-refundable for cash except where required by law. Credits reserved for an action that fails are returned to your balance.
5. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful use; no attempts to break, overload, or reverse the safety gates; no using saakshe to spam or impersonate. Only connect sources you own or control and have the right to grant. You're responsible for what you publish through the publish gate.
6. AI output — no warranty
saakshe's faculties produce AI-generated output. It may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and is provided without warranty of any kind. It is a drafting and decision-support tool, not professional advice. Your decisions are yours — review everything before you tap a gate, and don't rely on output you haven't verified.
7. Intellectual property
You keep yours. Your connected sources, your content, and the outputs created for you remain yours. We retain ownership of the saakshe software, brand, and platform. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service for you.
8. Termination
You can stop using saakshe and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, abuse, or where required by law. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, saakshe is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from AI output, downtime, or actions you chose to publish. Our total liability is limited to the amounts (if any) you paid us in the prior twelve months.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the service is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
